サプライズ！

今夜中の３時半です...。今日で１歳と１１ヶ月になりました〜☆後一ヶ月で２歳になるなんて信じられない！大きくなりました！２歳を目前にして、最近や〜っと哺乳瓶卒業できました。コップもストローも上手に使えるけれど、寝る時は哺乳瓶が無いと眠れなかったのですが、もういい加減卒業しないとな...と思って、ちょっと前から止めさせました。最初の２、３日はぐずったけれど、だんだんお昼寝の時は無くても大丈夫になり、その後は夜も大丈夫になりました。前は夜中に何度か泣いて起きる事もあったけれど、哺乳瓶要らなくなってからはそれも減ったような感じです。でもさっきちょっと泣いて、すぐにまた寝て、でもまた泣いて...どうしたのかな〜と思ったら、半分寝ぼけながら「ティ〜、ティ〜」って言いました！あ〜、のどが乾いてたのね〜と分かって、コップでお茶をあげるとすぐにまた寝てくれました。最近”ティ〜”って言えるようになったのですが、あ〜意思疎通できた！って独りで感動してました（笑）。でもそのあと全然眠れなくて、諦めて起きてブログ書いてます...。

Our baby is 1 year and 11 month old today. I can't believe that he will turn two in a month! Recently, we tried and succeeded to stop him using the bottle. He can drink from the cup pretty good, but he needed the bottle when he went to sleep. We stopped giving him the bottle when he goes to sleep about a week ago. He cried and looked for the bottle for a few days, but seems like he already forgot about it and now he is OK without it. (Jeff and I try not to use the word "bottle" because he can understand it!) It seems like he sleeps better at night without the bottle too. Before, he woke up a few times during the night for drink, but now he can sleep throughout the night without waking up. However tonight, he cried and woke up in the middle of the night. I was not sure what was wrong, but he said "tea~, tea~". He learned how to say "tea" a few days ago and now he can tell me what he wants!! I gave him some tea from a cup, and he went back to sleep:)

昨日は、京都にお仕事で来ていた大阪のお友達が、お仕事終ってから遊びに来てくれました！久しぶりに会うので、最初はちょっと恥ずかしそうにしていた赤ちゃんですが、５分もしないうちにおもちゃを持って来て、一緒に遊びたそうにし始めました☆

One of my friends came to visit us today. She lives in Osaka but she had to come to Kyoto city for her work today, so she stopped by after work! Our baby was a little shy at first, but after 5 min. he started bringing toys to play with her.

一緒に晩ご飯を食べました☆赤ちゃんもご機嫌で、もうそろそろ帰るね〜とコートを着ると、急に寂しそうにしてました...。来てくれてありがとう〜！

これは今日のお昼に作ってみたチキンナゲット。鶏の胸肉があったので、お弁当用に作ってみました。日本は鶏の胸肉がもも肉より安いけど、アメリカは胸肉の方が高いです。晩ご飯に皆で味見したら、なかなか美味しかった☆

We ate dinner together. This was part of our dinner. I made this chicken nuggets earlier today with chicken breast. It was pretty good! Our baby doesn't like beef or pork but he loves chicken and fish:)
