Today, some of Jeff's old students from Higashi Maizuru came to our house. They are now in college and don't live in Maizuru any more, but they were back in Kyoto for summer break.
We made some appetizers and pasta (smoke salmon and tomatoes) with Jeff's pesto.
It was Jeff's first time making carbonara and it was good!
We also had pasta with Jeff's marinara sauce. Our baby enjoyed lunch with girls!
I made roll cake for dessert.
One of the girls has never had chickenpox so we were little worried...but our baby's rash was all scabbed over so he was no longer contagious. I took him to the doctor yesterday again just in case. The doctor said that he just came back from the doctors' conference and learned that this year's hand, foot, and mouth disease is very hard to distinguish from chickenpox, so he was not sure if our baby had chickenpox anymore...but it probably was chickenpox because he had some rash on his head too (I guess you don't get rash on your head with hand, foot, and mouth disease?). Anyway, I am glad that our baby is all better now.
