Our growing baby

We went to our baby's 4 month check up at Maizuru Health Center earlier this month. While I was talking to the doctor, he asked me if our baby can find his own hands and clasp them, but I had never seen him do that before. After the check up, I have been observing to see if he puts his hands together, and he started doing that few days ago!

今月の始めに４ヶ月検診がありました。そこで小児科の先生から、赤ちゃんが両手を合わせて遊ぶかどうか聞かれました。４ヶ月頃から両手の存在に気付いて、手と手を触って遊ぶみたいです。この子が両手を合わせるのを見た事が無かったので注意深く観察していたら...最近手を合わせるようになりました！ず〜っと合わせてるのではなくて、触っては離して...の繰り返しなので、写真に撮るタイミングが難しい...

Expo Commemoration Park

This summer was soooo hot!! It was the highest record temperature in 113 years. With our baby being so little, we did not want to take him outside during the day. There was a light up festival at the expo commemoration park near my parents' house. There was supposed to be 10,000 balloons. The eyes of the Tower of the Sun, a symbolic landmark of the 1970 Expo, were also lit for the 40 year anniversary.

今年の夏は暑かった！！過去１１３年間で最高気温を記録...小さい赤ちゃんを連れて日中外には行けないけど、万博公園で夜ライトアップしていると聞いたので行って来ました。１０万個（そんなにいっぱい無かったような...)の風船に明かりが灯されていて、太陽の塔の目も４０周年記念で光っていました。

Shaved noodles in a pot... He is so "good" at aiming.

麺を削ってお鍋に入れるみたいですが、テーブルの上に麺が飛び散ってます...

イカ焼き食べた事が無いので食べたい！とジェフが言うので買ってみたけど、想像していたのとは違ったみたい...
