コナン君☆

Conan is the main character of Japanese comic called Meitantei Conan (Case Closed in English?). Jimmy Kudo is a high school student who frequently helps the police to solve cases. During the investigation, he is attacked by criminals called Black Organization and they poison Kudo to kill him. However, instead of dying, he was transformed into a child body due to the side effect. To hide from Black Organization, Kudo lives as Conan in the child body. Anyways, when Kudo transforms into a child body, only his body gets small, and his cloth remains the original size. Our baby looks like Conan here. By the way, Jeff loves Conan!

金閣寺

Jeff's little late summer vacation started today. Including weekends and two National Holidays we have this upcoming week, he has 9 days off! We talked about going on a small trip, but we decided to stay home and explore Kyoto. Unfortunately, the weather doesn't look very good next few days because of the typhoon...:( Today, it was cloudy and we were not sure when is was going to rain so we decided to just go somewhere close from our house. We went to Kinkakkuji (Golden Temple) which is about 30min. by walking from our house. When you get closer to Kinkakuji, you can see the 'Daimonji' (the Kanji character - Big).

今日からジェフの、ちょっと遅めの夏休みが始まります。最初はどこかに旅行に行こうかとも話していましたが、お家にいて、京都のあちこちに行ってみる事にしました。あいにくお天気は雨ばかりみたいですが。今日も朝からどんより曇っているかと思うと晴れてきたりで、よく分からないお天気でした。遠出して急に降って来ても嫌なので、家から歩いて行ける距離の金閣寺に行って来ました。歩いて行ける距離と行っても、３０分くらい歩いたかな。大文字が見えて来ました。

Being the first day of the three day weekend, there were lots of people there. When the leaves start changing color, there will be even more people though.

さすがに三連休の初日というのもあって、すごい人でした。修学旅行生もいました☆でも紅葉の季節になったらもっとすごいんやろうな...。１本だけ、ちょっと紅葉の始まった紅葉の木がありました☆

Our baby started getting bored just sitting in the stroller, so we let him walk. I think he likes to go up and down the stairs more than walking on the flat road.

だんだんベビーカーの中に座っているのは退屈になってきたみたいだったので、一緒に歩きました。平らな道より、階段を降りたり登ったりする方が好きみたいです。

On the way back, we stopped by Wara Shrine too.

帰りは、通り道にあるわら天神にも寄りました。

We heard thunder, so we hurried to home. Right after we got home, it started raining a lot. From the long walk, our baby fell asleep not too long after we got home... with Jeff of course:)

雷がゴロゴロ聞こえ始めたので急いで家に帰ると、家に着いてすぐにかなり降って来ました。たくさん歩いて、赤ちゃんも、ついでにジェフもお昼ね中です☆
